We borrow loan capital from groups of small-scale 'social investors' via our website.

Sustainable e-commerce-based lending
We provide ordinary people in the developed world with a unique
opportunity to become online 'social investors', connecting with a purpose that’s
bigger than their own lives.
We’re the only
New Zealand organisation to use a lending model instead of donations to
fund loan capital.
Social investors help microfranchisees increase and stabilise their incomes throughout the year, an advantage for the ultra-poor who often rely on seasonal income.
Each lender is matched to a microfranchisee, and then receives a profile of their microfranchisee's loan group and progress updates during the chicken-raising cycles.
We pass on 100% of the loan funds we receive (ie less Paypal transfer charges) to microfranchisees in the form of goods/materials on consignment.
We empower you to decide where your contribution is spent – you can either lend money as a social investor, OR you can donate $25 to cover microfranchisee coaching costs, OR donate to our general running costs.
Our e-commerce model means that administration costs are minimised.
